The Hamilton Southeastern volleyball team completed its third consecutive undefeated Hoosier Crossroads Conference season on Thursday by sweeping Franklin Central 25-13, 25-14, 25-14.
Avery Hobson hit nine kills for the Royals, with Lovie Wallace and Lauren Harden both putting down eight kills. Meghan Slaninka served four aces, while Sophie Ledbetter and Ava Lohman each hit three aces. Macy Hinshaw dished out 11 assists.
Southeastern finished conference play 7-0 and is 24-2 overall. The Royals finished their regular season with this match and will take on Noblesville next Thursday, Oct. 14 in the first round of the Westfield sectional.
Fishers won an all-county and HCC match with Westfield Thursday at the Tiger Den.
Fishers won 25-15, 25-13, 25-19. With the victory, the Tigers finished HCC play with a 6-1 record, good for second place in the conference. Fishers also completed its regular season with this match and is 18-5 overall.
Westfield completed its HCC season with a 3-4 record. The Shamrocks are 11-13 overall and host their own Westfield Invitational on Saturday morning.
Hamilton Heights also won an all-county match on Thursday, beating Sheridan 25-7, 25-16, 25-13.
Kelsey Smith and Jordan Fryman led the hitting for the Huskies, who are 15-8 for the season. Heights will finish its regular season Monday at Park Tudor.
For the Blackhawks, Jacquellynne Bates collected 11 digs and served one ace. Emma Settles and Taylor Bates both hit one kill, while Taylor Bates also had five digs and one assist. Nova Cross and Kenzie Garner both had two block assists. Cross dished out one set assist and Garner made seven digs.
Sheridan finished its regular season with this match and is off until Saturday, Oct. 16, when it plays Sectional 43 host Western Boone in an 11 a.m. semi-final match.
Carmel swept past Kokomo 25-8, 25-4, 25-15 in a Thursday match at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
Macarty McQueen led the Greyhounds’ offense with 10 kills, followed by Emily Waddell with six, Ella Brooks and Savanna Rogers with five each and Ella Bostic with four. Bostic also had 25 assists, two aces and one dig.
Lauren Evans collected 11 digs and served four aces. McQueen had two digs, Waddell made one block and hit one ace, Brooks had four digs and Rogers had one block.
The ‘Hounds are 20-6 and will host their own Carmel Invitational on Saturday.
Guerin Catholic swept Anderson in straight sets on Thursday to finish its regular season.
The Golden Eagles are 12-12 and play Christel House Academy next Thursday, Oct. 14, in the first round of Class 3A Sectional 27 at Bishop Chatard.
Noblesville dropped an HCC match to Brownsburg Thursday at The Mill, 25-10, 25-15, 25-22.
The Millers finished conference play 1-6 and are 11-12 overall. Noblesville will play at the Lawrence North Wildcat Invitational this weekend.
University fell to Bethesda Christian in a Thursday Pioneer Conference match, 25-13, 25-13, 25-10.
The Trailblazers play at the Clinton Prairie Invitational on Saturday.
