Noblesville played two matches at the Cathedral 3-Way on Saturday.
In their first match, the Millers lost to the host Irish in four sets, 25-15, 18-25, 25-20, 25-22. Ava Nichols dished out 37 assists, with Lexie Almodovar hitting 18 kills and making one block. Rose Crist put down 12 kills and Kayla Thompson made nine digs.
Noblesville beat Greenfield-Central 25-21, 14-25, 25-14, 26-24 in its second match. Nichols handed out 44 assists and also served four aces. Almodovar had a solid all-around game with 16 kills, 10 digs and one block. Rose Crist hit 11 kills and made one block.
Ella Peter put down seven kills and Maddy Carr had six kills. Thompson collected 14 digs and Braden Caswell had 12 digs.
The Millers are 7-12 and host Class 2A No. 5 Lapel on Wednesday.
Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 4 in 4A, played four matches at the Warren Central Invitational on Saturday.
The Royals took on 3A No. 1 New Castle in their first match, falling in three sets, 25-18, 19-25, 15-7. Taylor Shelton led the offense with eight kills, while Grace Kane hit six kills. Carly Mills had 17 digs.
Southeastern rebounded to win its next three matches. First was a 25-9, 25-8 win over Greenwood Christian Academy. Maddie Cole put down seven kills in a strong match, while Shelton had six kills and six aces. Annaka Pyle dished out eight assists and served one ace.
The Royals then toughed out a win over Brownsburg, 15-25, 25-19, 15-12. Abby Weber led the way with 11 kills. Olivia Phillips handed out 37 assists, also hitting five kills and three aces. Mills collected 17 digs.
In its final match of the day, HSE took care of 2A No. 1 Evansville Mater Dei 25-13, 25-23. Chloe Whaley put down six kills, while Zada Anderson added five kills. Lillian Leiner and Sarah Morrolf both had seven digs.
The Royals are now 17-5 on the season and play at Zionsville Thursday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference match.
