The Carmel volleyball team swept Lawrence Central 25-6, 25-13, 25-9 on Wednesday in a Metropolitan Conference match.
Carly Christy hit 10 kills for the Greyhounds, while Lauren Evans had seven kills, five digs and four aces. Kiah Jackson had six kills. Emerson Evans served five aces and collected three digs, while Ella Bostic dished out 30 assists, and hit four aces and four kills.
Carmel is 2-0 in the MIC and 7-1 overall, and will play in the Avon Invitational on Saturday.
Sheridan dropped a home match with Traders Point Christian on Wednesday, 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.
Claudia Headlee, Taylor Bates and Jacquellynne Bates all served one ace. Taylor Bates added 16 digs, four kills, four assists and two block assists, while Jacquellynne Bates collected a season-high 22 digs.
Kenzie Garner hit nine kills and made two block assists. Lexi Lewin had one solo block and Nova Cross handed out six assists.
The Blackhawks host Eastern tonight in a Hoosier Heartland Conference match.
