Vietnam Veteran Dennis Zavada is truly an Outstanding Citizen

Keeping a respectable appearance for Westfield’s Fallen Hoosier Heroes Memorial doesn’t simply happen. In fact, it’s the work of caretaker and Vietnam Veteran Dennis Zavada, pictured here with Mayor Scott Willis. He was honored with the city’s Outstanding Citizen Award during Wednesday’s Memorial Day Ceremony. “Dennis continues to pour his heart into making sure the memorial remains beautiful, peaceful, and sacred,” Mayor Willis said.
