Action finished up at the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals in Fargo N.D. Saturday with the final matches in the Greco-Roman competition.
Westfield’s Connor Maddox wrestled in the consolation bracket, and in his first match on Saturday, he beat Nebraska’s Isaiah Tuttle by a 7-3 decision the sub-round of 16. Maddox lost to Iowa’s Coy Mehlert in the round of 16 by a 5-3 decision.
Noblesville’s Cale Metzler competed at 215 pounds in the consolation bracket. Metzler won two consolation matches on Friday. He dropped his first match Saturday to Minnesota’s Xander Plath by a 10-2 tech fall in the sub-round of 16.
