Two Westfield groups working together to prepare young adults for life

Student Impact of Westfield has announced its collaboration with Champion’s Path, a private veteran-owned company offering comprehensive life preparation, academic guidance, and career training for young adults aged 16 to 24.

Beginning on Sept. 15, 2023, the program will take place in the newly expanded building of Student Impact.

Easterhaus

“Champion’s Path brings together successful business owners with extensive military leadership experience to teach world-class courses,” said Danyele Easterhaus, Executive Director of Student Impact Westfield. “By joining forces with Champion’s Path, Student Impact expands its mission of supporting students from grades 5 through 12 to now include young adults, fostering relationships and providing a safe environment for personal growth.”

The evening program conducted by Champion’s Path at the Student Impact building will address the challenges faced by young adults as they transition into adulthood and navigate their responsibilities. The Compass Course, starting on Sept. 19, 2023, is a five-week curriculum where participants will develop a customized academic and career plan. Alongside core skills training, such as communication, financial stewardship, and job interviewing techniques, students will learn essential values like integrity, work ethic, leadership, courage, and honor.

Champion’s Path is committed to helping students identify potential academic majors, vocational paths, colleges, internships, or suitable careers that align with their goals. After completing the course, students will receive a Champion’s Path Diploma and have access to a private, six-month post-graduation follow-up meeting. In addition, networking opportunities will be available for Champion’s Path graduates.

Students will have the opportunity to compete for scholarships provided by participating sponsors, employers, technical schools, and universities.
