Trent Dowling named STAR Financial Bank’s South and Central Region president

STAR Financial Bank has promoted Trent Dowling to South and Central Region President, expanding his leadership responsibilities across two of the bank’s key markets.

Dowling previously served as Central Region President, leading STAR’s commercial banking efforts in Muncie, Marion, Anderson, Kokomo, and surrounding communities. The South Region includes the Indianapolis area, and surrounding communities as Greenfield, Zionsville, and Noblesville.

In his expanded role, he will lead teams across both regions, support client relationships and help guide the bank’s continued growth.

“Trent is a proven leader who understands that our success starts with strong teams, meaningful client relationships and a deep commitment to the communities we serve,” said Scott Bove, executive vice president of Capital Markets and Commercial Banking at STAR Financial Bank. “His experience, leadership and long-standing commitment to STAR make him the right person to bring greater alignment across our South and Central regions while continuing to position both for growth.”

Dowling has nearly 30 years of banking experience, including more than 20 years with STAR. Throughout his career with the bank, he has built relationships with businesses and community leaders across central Indiana while focusing on the personalized service and local decision-making that distinguish community banking.

Outside of STAR, Dowling is an active volunteer and church member. He has served in board or officer roles with The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County, Hopewell Center, Meridian Health Services, the Anderson Revolving Loan Fund, the Madison County Chamber and Flagship Enterprise.

Dowling earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ball State University in Muncie. He lives in east central Indiana with his wife, two sons, and daughter-in-law.
