Todd Thurston announces intent to run for Noblesville Common Council

Longtime Noblesville resident Todd Thurston has announced his plans to run for Noblesville Common Council in the newly redrawn District 2 in Southwest Noblesville.

Thurston graduated from Noblesville High School in 1990, and has been a passionate volunteer, community leader, and advocate for the city ever since.

Currently, Thurston serves on the Noblesville Youth Assistance Board. He recently retired from the Noblesville Fire Department Merit Board, having served four years as President. His community involvement and experience also includes leadership roles with the Noblesville Parks Board, the Fifty Club of Hamilton County, Noblesville Kiwanis, Noblesville Elks Lodge, and the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club.

“I love Noblesville,” Thurston said. “This is an incredible opportunity to truly listen to the people of Noblesville and ensure that their feedback and needs are reflected in the decisions being made by the city council.”

In August 2020, Thurston was recognized by Prevail as its Community Hero of the Month. He is also a 2014 graduate of Hamilton County Leadership Academy, past board member, and recipient of the Impact Award for his service and impact in Hamilton County.

Professionally, Thurston is a Commercial Sales Manager at Hare Truck Center in Noblesville. Prior to joining Hare, he spent 13 years in the highway construction industry.

Thurston has lived in Noblesville for 33 years and is married to Jennifer. They have two sons, Spencer and Conner.

The Noblesville Common Council election will take place in the May 2023 Primary.
