The Tipton Main Street Association (TMSA) last Friday, June 20 held its Kickoff to Summer event and celebrated a major milestone with a ribbon cutting for new Campbell Family Foundation (CFF) Stage.
The ribbon cutting marked the successful completion of Project Rosebud, TMSA’s initiative to enhance the city’s Downtown Plaza with a permanent performing arts stage. The project’s impact is being accelerated by a generous $15,000 sponsorship from CFF to support year-round arts and cultural programming at the Downtown Plaza.
Kickoff to Summer brought hundreds to downtown Tipton, where the CFF Stage served as the evening’s centerpiece. Local talent including Abi Overdorf and Kerman & the Star-Nosed Moles performed live music as the community enjoyed local food trucks, a Kids Zone, and a special collaboration with the Tipton County Farmers & Artisans Market.
“Project Rosebud and our annual events are an integral part of our ongoing effort to enhance the quality of place in downtown Tipton and make it a great place to live, work, and thrive,” said Rob Cochrane III, TMSA President and Commercial/Ag Lender with First Farmers Bank & Trust. “The Campbell Family Foundation Stage will bring people together, drive foot traffic to local small businesses, spark private investment, and serve as the centerpiece of downtown for years to come. I’m extremely grateful for the Campbell family’s generosity and partnership. Delivered ahead of schedule, under budget, and at no cost to taxpayers, this project truly demonstrates that the mission and vision of TMSA is thriving and delivering real results for our community.”
