Tigers split Fort Wayne-area games

Fishers traveled to the Fort Wayne area on Saturday, Nov. 15 to play two games.

In their first contest, the Tigers fell to Columbia City 41-35. Fishers jumped out to an 11-4 lead after the first quarter, but the Eagles came back to tie the game at 17-17 by halftime. The second half was close, but Columbia City outscored Fishers 12-9 in both the third and fourth periods.

Natalie Thomas led the Tigers with 12 points, including six in the second quarter. Ella Burleson contributed 11 points, making three 3-pointers.

Fishers came back to beat Fort Wayne Carroll 55-48 in its second game. The Tigers led 15-12 after the first quarter, with Burleson scoring seven points. Fishers went up 30-24 by halftime, then led 44-38 after three periods.

Thomas scored 13 points, while Alanna Anthony had 12 points and Burleson scored 10, making two 3s.

Fishers is 3-2 and is scheduled to play at Westfield on Friday.
