Tigers fall to Pike in overtime

Fishers was dealt a tough loss on Friday, as the Tigers fell to Pike 68-64 in overtime at the Tiger Den.
It was a close game throughout between Fishers, ranked No. 2 in both the Associated Press Class 4A poll and the IBCA one-class poll, and the Red Devils, ranked No. 19 in the IBCA poll. Pike led 16-14 after the first quarter before the Tigers pulled ahead 29-27 at halftime. Jalen Haralson scored 11 points in the first half, while Jeffrey Simmons had nine.
The Red Devils led 45-44 after three quarters, but Fishers got back to even, 59-59, by the end of regulation. Haralson added another nine poins in the fourth period. The game was still tied at 64-64 in the closing seconds, but Pike’s Ryan Conwell hit a late jumper to get his team ahead to stay.
Simmons and Haralson each scored 22 points for the Tigers, while Bryce Williams had 10 points.
Fishers is 12-2 and hosts Brownsburg Friday for a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.
