Thomas John Bleisch

January 7, 1966 – March 8, 2022

Thomas John Bleisch, 56, Noblesville, passed away in his home, surrounded by his family, on March 8, 2022, after a two-year battle with brain cancer. He was born on January 7, 1966, to Charles and Marilyn (Conrad) Bleisch in Lansing, Mich.

Tom married the love of his life, Annette (Powers), in 1991 after meeting at Michigan State University. They went on to have three children, Joshua Thomas, Zachary Charles, and Samuel Powers, along with two daughters-in-law, Morgan Raters and Hallie Nolan. Tom used his degrees in Chemistry from Michigan State and Ohio State during his 30-year career at Eli Lilly as a medicinal chemist, where his research impacted countless lives.

Tom’s family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of Josh, Zach, and Sam and supported them unconditionally. He loved cheering them on at swim meets and driveway “Bleischsketball” games. The boys spent countless weekends together, camping and backpacking in wild places through Boy Scouts of America. Their most memorable trips included Isle Royale, Philmont Scout Ranch, and Machu Picchu. Tom shared his love of Michigan State sports with his entire family and loved cheering on the Spartans during football and basketball season.

Anyone who knew Tom knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. He is survived by his parents, Marilyn and Charles Bleisch; wife, Annette; sons, Joshua, Zachary, and Samuel; daughters-in-law, Morgan Raters and Hallie Nolan; brother, Michael (Penny) Bleisch; sister, Kristie (Will) Grindey; godsons, Manuel and Elias Macias; and many nieces and nephews.

Tom was kind, inclusive, hilarious, and faithful. In his free time, he volunteered with the Our Lady of Grace Youth Ministry and served as Scoutmaster for Troop 101. He touched so many lives and we will miss him endlessly.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m., on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 9900 E. 191st St., Noblesville. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tom’s name to Bethlehem Farm, 572 Bethlehem Farm Lane, Alderson, WV 24910 (bethlehemfarm.net); and Our Lady of Grace Youth Ministry Scholarship Fund, 9900 E. 191st St., Noblesville, IN 46060 (ologn.org).
