Gripping ghost story haunts Fishers Oct. 24 to Nov. 2
The Hyperion Players will present Stephen Mallatratt’s The Woman in Black starting Thursday, Oct. 24 at The Switch Theatre in Fishers.
Susan Hill’s acclaimed ghost story comes dramatically alive in Stephen Mallatratt’s ingenious stage adaptation. Kipps is obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black. He hires a skeptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul. It all begins innocently enough, but then, as they reach further into his darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds, accidentally bringing the audience along in the process.
The Woman in Black is the second play of Hyperion’s third season, following September’s An Inspector Calls. Coming soon are Patrick Barlow’s The 39 Steps and Steven Dietz’s Rocket Man.
The Woman in Black is scheduled for six performances:
- Thursday, Oct. 24, 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 25, 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 26, 7:30 p.m.
