For many servicemembers, veterans, and military spouses, the hardest part of leaving the military isn’t finding a job, it’s redefining their sense of identity, purpose, and direction.
That’s where The Catalyst comes in.
The Catalyst is a nonprofit organization that helps high-performing military-connected individuals navigate one of life’s most complex transitions, not by simply pointing them to a new career, but by equipping them to lead with purpose in whatever comes next. Through a structured, cohort-based program that blends graduate-level instruction, personal mentorship, and real-world consulting engagements, The Catalyst creates the space for participants to reflect, reframe, and relaunch.
Our participants include transitioning servicemembers preparing to retire or separate, veterans seeking renewed direction, and military spouses at pivotal career or life moments. Many have already led at the highest levels and are now ready to invest in a new kind of impact. We help them clarify their goals, strengthen their voice, and align their next step with the values they’ve carried throughout their service. Our flagship program is delivered in partnership with the University of Notre Dame, bringing world-class academic and professional development resources to each cohort.
Participants leave our program with more than just polished resumes and interview prep. They gain clarity, community, and a renewed sense of agency. They’re not just prepared for jobs, they’re prepared for the next chapter of leadership, whether in business, government, social impact, or entrepreneurship.
