Terry J. Myers

Terry J. Myers, 86, Noblesville, passed away on September 5, 2026. Born July 10, 1940, to Gretchen and Calvin Myers, Terry – known to many as TJ, T-Man, and Joe – was a businessman through and through, always chasing his next idea or invention and never truly slowing down. He built a roofing company from the ground up and put his inventive mind to work creating his own hair products, always looking for a better way to do things.

His favorite story to tell was how he met the love of his life, Nancy: he was picking his guitar in a band, and she caught his eye dancing across the floor. Together they built a marriage, a family, and a business. Their family salon, established in 1969, is still running today, just as they always dreamed it would be, carried on by their children and the family name. Terry was happiest with family close, and his love for his wife, children, and grandchildren shaped everything he built.

But TJ’s kindness reached far beyond his own family. He had a way of making people feel cared for, and over the years he became a father figure to many who needed one, offering guidance, support, and a steady presence to those he took under his wing. That generosity of spirit is one of the things he will be remembered for most. He was a builder in every sense of the word: of businesses, ideas, relationships, and family. He was always thinking about what could come up with next, but the life and legacy he leaves behind may be his greatest creation of all.

Terry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Myers, as well as his siblings, Patricia Fields, Constance Daniels, Ronald Myers, and Maxine Fletcher.

He is survived by his four children, Tony (Amanda) Myers, Ricky (Mary) Myers, Teri (Bryan) Clarke, and Rhonda (Shane) Gilbert; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held with family.
