Tennis: Royals tough out Mudsock victory at Fishers

The Hamilton Southeastern boys tennis team cruised to victory in the Mudsock meet Tuesday.
The No. 3-ranked Royals beat No. 7 Fishers 4-1 at the Tigers’ courts. The No. 1 singles match went three sets, with Rohan Golla overcoming the loss of the first set to get past Reese Knoderer 3-6, 7-5, 6-1.
All of the other matches were decided in straight sets.
Both teams play another Hoosier Crossroads Conference match on Thursday. Southeastern hosts No. 22 Avon, while Fishers travels to Westfield.

No. 1 doubles: Aiden De Witt and Andrew Spirrison (HSE) def. Logan Kat and Nate Simkins (F) 6-4, 6-4
No. 2 doubles: Rodrigo Davila and Nolan Houseman (HSE) def. Andrew Leonard and Drew Barker 6-3, 6-0

Westfield won an HCC match over Noblesville Tuesday 3-2.
The Shamrocks swept both doubles matches and also got a three-set win at No. 3 singles from Mitch Amenta, who got past Rory Bushong 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. The No. 27 Millers won at Nos. 1 and 2 singles.
Noblesville plays a conference match Thursday at Franklin Central.
