The Hamilton Southeastern and Carmel boys tennis teams both advanced to their respective regional finals with semi-final victories on Tuesday.
At the North Central regional, the No. 19-ranked Royals swept Mount Vernon 5-0, winning all five matches in straight sets. No. 1 singles Andrew Orme won 6-1, 6-0; No. 2 singles Paul Schneider was victorious 6-1, 6-1 and No. 3 singles Rohan Golla was a 6-3, 6-2 winner. In doubles, No. 1 Andrew Spirrison and Daniel Verde won 6-2, 6-2 and No. 2 Jackson Bill and Logan Hubbard were 6-0, 6-3 winners.
Southeastern will play No. 5 North Central in the championship match at 4:30 p.m. today at the Panthers’ Barbara Wynne Tennis Center. Also on Tuesday, Fishers No. 1 singles Reese Knoderer advanced in the singles tournament with a straight-set win.
Up at Kokomo, No. 1 Carmel beat the host Wildkats 5-0 to advanced to the championship match. The Greyhounds play No. 16 West Lafayette at 4:30 p.m. today.
