Hotel will be first of its brand in Indiana

Clay Terrace has submitted a proposal to the Carmel Planning Commission to build a Tempo by Hilton hotel, developed by Equicor Hotel Group, LLC.

The proposed five-story hotel – the first Tempo by Hilton in Indiana – will feature 150 rooms with all the benefits and efficiencies of a limited-service hotel paired with amenities. Tempo by Hilton is a lifestyle hotel brand dedicated to exceeding the expectations of the ambitious, yet balanced, class of discerning traveler – the “modern achiever.” The hotel will feature a rooftop restaurant/bar with a separate elevator to allow direct access to local patrons.

Clay Terrace’s Tempo hotel will provide accommodations for the business traveler, families traveling to sporting competitions at nearby Grand Park, and leisure travelers. Tempo offers public spaces including an open lobby concept with dedicated spaces to relax and work, as well as premium culinary options, such as the brand’s signature hydration station, a casual breakfast café, and an inviting bar experience.

Managed by Dora Hospitality, the Tempo by Hilton project is one of several redevelopment projects planned at Clay Terrace over the coming months.

“We are very excited about this new development at Clay Terrace,” said Chris White, partner for Equicor Hotel Group, LLC. “We are pleased to offer this unique hotel option for both leisure and corporate guests looking for a location in Carmel nestled close to premier restaurants, brand-name retailers, and local boutiques.”

The hotel plans to break ground in Spring 2023 and open in Spring 2024. It will be located in the proposed Clay Terrace redevelopment area behind Kona Grill.
