Get ready to celebrate the Roaring 20s at Taste of Carmel on Friday, March 3, 2023.
This popular event, featuring over 40 local eateries, distilleries, caterers, wineries, and breweries, along with a premier silent auction, entertainment and a multi-item raffle, is most definitely a “can’t miss” event. Benefiting the Carmel Education Foundation (CEF), this year’s event will feature the State Bank First Taste VIP Party, the main tasting event, and an all-new Last Taste experience featuring DJ Fred Lockstar, late night snacks and libations.
“Moving Taste of Carmel to a Friday night opens up great opportunity to extend time for guests to socialize and enjoy the kickoff to spring,” CEF Executive Director Jennifer Penix said. “Not only will attendees be able to support the foundation through our traditional auction and raffle, they can also now join us on the dance floor at the first ever Last Taste after-party.”
Jeff Worrell, a longtime supporter of CEF, will return as the iconic Taste of Carmel emcee. Guests will experience an elevated experience where attire may include suspenders and feathery accessories. All things representing the 1920s is highly encouraged.
Along with the featured food and libations, a raffle will be available to guests featuring: a pair of Pedego electric bikes, a “road trip/tailgate” package from O’Malia’s Living including a Green Egg, firepit and accessories, and jewelry from Distinctive Diamonds. Raffle tickets are $30 each or three for $75. Complimenting the raffle is a silent auction that is considered “the best of the best”, featuring travel packages, local experiences, Carmel High School graduation and parking perks, and so much more.
Tickets to Taste of Carmel are on sale now, and through Jan. 15, 2023, individual tickets are $60, State Bank First Taste VIP Party individual tickets are $100 (includes general admission to main event), Last Taste tickets are $30 each, and reserved tables for 10 guests are $1,000. Reserved table guests may purchase a First Taste VIP add-on for $40. Prices will increase Jan. 16, 2023. Tickets may be purchased at tasteofcarmelindiana.com and quantities are limited.
Based on past event attendance, Penix said she expects a sell-out crowd and anticipates that the reserved tables will be especially popular.
Proceeds from Taste of Carmel benefit Carmel Clay Schools students and teachers. As a result of a successful 2022 event, the foundation created the ACHIEVE Initiative, a partnership with Junior Achievement of Central Indiana which, in part, is funding all 1,200 fifth-grade students to attend JA BizTown. Additionally, CEF implemented a student led grant program, funded challenge coins in collaboration with Carmel Police Department’s School Resource Officer team and supported the Carmel Youth Assistance Program with funding for summer meals.
Members of the planning team include CEF board members and community volunteers. Penix extends a thank you to all the local businesses who support this event as a sponsor, vendor, or auction donor – lists that grow every day. A special thank you to State Bank, O’Malia’s Living, CoasterStone, Fanning Howey, The City of Carmel, and Springhetti Dentistry who have invested as a Premier Sponsor.
Sponsor packages are still available, as are limited spaces for food and beverage vendors as well as companies who would like to have an experience or product featured in the auction.
