Hamilton Southeastern graduate Sydney Parrish announced on Saturday that she is transferring to Indiana University.
Parrish, the 2020 Indiana Miss Basketball, revealed the news in a Twitter post on Saturday afternoon. She had previously announced that she had entered the transfer portal after spending two years playing for the University of Oregon.
Parrish started all 32 games during her sophomore season for the Ducks, averaging 8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. She made a team-high seven 3-pointers during Oregon’s game with California on Jan. 9. In her freshman year, Parrish averaged 6.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest.
As a four-year starter for the Royals, Parrish helped the team to the 2019 state championship her junior year. Parrish is also the Hamilton County all-time girls scoring leader with 1,925 points.
