Student Impact of Westfield welcomes Champion’s Path

Student Impact of Westfield has announced it will play host to a new organization called Champion’s Path beginning on Sept. 15 in the newly constructed larger building.

Champion’s Path is a private, veteran-owned company which offers world-class life preparation, academic, and career guidance training for young adults, approximately ages 16 to 24. Champion’s Path courses are taught exclusively by successful business owners, who all have U.S. Marine, U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM), or high-level U.S. military leadership experience.

According to Student Impact of Westfield Executive Director Danyele Easterhaus, “Since 1999, Student Impact has been on a successful mission to walk alongside students in grades 5 through 12 and help them build relationships through love and acceptance in a safe and consistent environment. To meet that mission, we have, and are always striving, to provide programs helping young adults find fulfillment in their lives.”

Champion’s Path will conduct its program at the Student Impact building in the evenings, after Student Impact programming has ended.

Champion’s Path introduces a group of people who care and understand the challenges faced by today’s young adults as they decide how to transition to adulthood and the responsibilities that accompany this stage of life.

“We understand that many parents are increasingly concerned that their young adults are struggling to develop a realistic plan for what they will do after high school or college,” Champion’s Path Director of Operations Jennifer McCulloch said. “We also know that even for college students or other young adults in the workforce, finding appropriate direction, identifying opportunity and successfully finding the right fulfilling career can be overwhelming.”

The Compass Course, which begins on Sept. 19, is composed of an intensive, five-week curriculum, meeting one evening per week. The Compass Course will help young adults build their own custom academic and career plan, which is designed to help to direct them on their own unique path toward an honorable, successful, and fulfilling life. As part of the course, students are also taught how to improve their social media skills, communication skills, financial stewardship skills, and job interviewing skills.

The course’s highly accomplished and unique instructors also stress foundational values throughout the course that span and impact all career fields, such as integrity, work ethic, leadership, courage, and honor.

It is the goal of Champion’s Path to help students identify potential academic majors, vocations, training skill institutions, colleges, internships, military, or appropriate careers which will fit their personal goals. Upon graduation from the course, students will have a custom academic and career plan, along with a Champion’s Path Diploma. Additionally, each student will have a private, six-month post-graduation follow-up meeting with Champion’s Path staff to help ensure they are following their plan and moving in the right direction.

As part of each course, students will periodically meet remarkable special guest speakers, such as professional athletes, health care executives, business owners, technology leaders, and public officials (Democrat and Republican). At graduation, students will be able to meet with program sponsors, which will include college admissions specialists, vocational school specialists, private companies, and military recruiters who are interested in meeting and working with Champion’s Path graduates.

Students will also compete for various scholarships provided by participating sponsors (which will be announced in August 2023) including employers, technical schools and universities.
