“Being a page provides a first-hand look at the legislative process for young Hoosiers,” Walker said. “I was happy to welcome local students last month and answer their questions about how our government operates.”
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.
“It was a pleasure to welcome these students to the Senate and answer their questions about local government and how it operates,” Baldwin said. “I look forward to welcoming additional local students as this session progresses.”
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
