The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Indiana PAC has endorsed State Sen. Kyle Walker in his re-election campaign for Senate District 31.

NFIB Indiana represents more than 11,000 small and independent business owners across the state. The NFIB Indiana PAC is comprised solely of NFIB members.

“There’s a lot riding on the outcome of this year’s election,” NFIB State Director Natalie Robinson said. “Small businesses are dealing with the worst inflation in decades, the challenge of finding enough qualified workers, and persistent problems with the supply chain. Senator Walker understands these challenges and will fight to create and maintain an environment where Indiana’s small businesses can grow and create jobs.”

In the Senate, Walker has supported fiscally responsible policies including a balanced state budget, tax cuts for Hoosiers and investments in economic development and quality of life.

During the 2022 Special Session this summer, Walker supported an inflation relief package that included an additional $200 taxpayer refund to Hoosiers, capped the gas tax and paid down state debts (SEA 2). During the 2022 legislative session, Walker supported a $1.1 billion income tax cut for Hoosiers, which – when fully implemented – will be tied for the lowest income tax rate in the country (HEA 1002). He also authored innovative economic development legislation (SEA 245) to attract sports, convention and tourism events to Indiana, which generate significant revenue, encourage investment and bring visitors to the Hoosier State.

In 2021, Walker supported the balanced, two-year state budget that made key investments in infrastructure, public safety and education (HEA 1001). He also secured funding to support entrepreneurial activity across the state.

“We need to stay laser focused on strengthening our economy and doing what we can to alleviate the impacts of inflation caused by unsustainable national policies that are harming Hoosiers,” Walker said. “In the Senate, I will continue to focus on efforts to reduce cost of living, create jobs and help our businesses thrive.”

The NFIB Indiana PAC is the latest business organization to support Senator Walker in his re-election campaign. He’s also been endorsed by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Indy Chamber Business Advocacy Committee (BAC), as well as labor groups including the Indiana AFL-CIO and the Indiana State Pipe Trades Association.

Walker has also been endorsed by the Indiana State Police Alliance, Indiana Fraternal Order of Police, Fishers Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 199, Lawrence Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 159, Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 86, Indiana Fire Chiefs Association and Indiana Professional Firefighters PAC.

Walker’s district encompasses parts of Hamilton and Marion counties, including all of Fishers and part of Lawrence. For more information visit WalkerforIndiana.com.
