The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that the State Road 47 Reconstruction Project in Sheridan has moved into Phase 2.
Phase 2 work includes a complete reconstruction of SR 47 between Wesco Parkway and Mule Barn Road. That work is expected to last through mid-summer. Through traffic remains closed between Hamilton-Boone County Line Road and State Road 38. Access for local homes and businesses will be maintained from the west.
Drivers are encouraged to follow the official detour of SR 38 and U.S. 421. Learn more about the SR 47 Reconstruction project here.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
