State Road 37 crash leaves two dead

Late Tuesday afternoon, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a serious car crash on State Road 37 just north of 246th Street. The driver was deceased upon arrival of deputies and EMS. A female passenger was transported by air ambulance to St. Vincent’s on 86th Street. She was pronounced dead after her arrival there.

Initial investigation shows the vehicle was traveling north on State Road 37 north of the intersection with 246th Street. The vehicle crossed the opposing lane of traffic and went off the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle traveled along the ditch before striking several trees. Good Samaritans with medical training/backgrounds attempted to assist the individuals in the vehicle.

The crash is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team.

Noblesville FD, White River FD, Jackson Township FD, and Cicero FD all responded to the scene, and their assistance with this incident is appreciated.
