Indiana State Representative Danny Lopez presented the Rotary Club of Carmel with a State of Indiana District Declaration at the club’s meeting held Friday, July 10 at the Woodland Country Club, 100 Woodland Lane, Carmel.
Rep. Lopez commended Carmel Rotarians for their selfless service to others, noting that, since its establishment in 1972, the Club has long been a place where local Hoosiers can come together to make a difference in our community. He further noted that the Rotary Club of Carmel has served as an invaluable partner to the city since its incorporation 50 years ago. He then presented the club with a distinguished plaque recognizing Carmel Rotarians’ 50 years of outstanding leadership and service to the community.
Rep. Lopez, who represents House District 39 which encompasses most of the City of Carmel, personally attested to the importance of the untold hours of Carmel Rotarians’ volunteerism and stated he intends to apply to become a member of the Rotary Club of Carmel to personally support the club’s legacy of service.
