State Rep. Victoria Garcia Wilburn (D-Fishers) applauded Tuesday’s announcement that the city will build a new state-of-the-art community center. The community center, to be located on Hoosier Road near 121st Street, will include an indoor playground, aquatics facility, gymnasium, community gathering spaces, fitness center, dog park, accessibility features and more.
“I applaud the City of Fishers’ commitment to establishing a culture of health and wellness within the community,” State Rep. Garcia Wilburn said. “Spaces like the new community center are vital to pursuing good physical, mental and emotional health. No matter your interests, this community center will have something for every House District 32 and Fishers resident.
“Congratulations to Mayor Scott Fadness, the Fishers City Council and the rest of Fishers local government on this visionary plan and for their leadership in continuing to make the case for why Fishers is a great place to call home.”
