Hamilton Southeastern toughed out an overtime Hoosier Crossroads Conference win over Franklin Central Thursday, beating the Flashes 44-40 in a home game.
Franklin Central led 10-4 after one quarter, but the Royals dominated the second period, outscoring FC 17-4 to take a 21-14 lead. Southeastern led 29-21 during the third quarter, but the Flashes came back and cut that lead to 34-30 by the end of the period, then tied it up at 37-37 at the end of regulation. The Royals outscored Franklin Central 7-3 in the overtime.
Reph Stevenson scored 13 points and collected seven rebounds to lead Southeastern. Myles Holman also had seven rebounds, while Braeden Totten had nine points and four assists. Joe Karwowski blocked two shots.
Southeastern is 2-4 in HCC play and 5-14 overall. The Royals play at Pike on Tuesday.
