The Hamilton Southeastern swim teams hosted their annual Forum Credit Union Splash & Clash last Saturday.
The Royals girls team won the meet, scoring 697.5 points to take the team trophy. Homestead was the runner-up team, scoring 619 points.
Southeastern’s Audrey Crawford set the first of her two new meet records in the individual medley, finishing that race in 2 minutes, 3.73 seconds. Crawford was also part of the Royals’ first-place medley relay team, which opened the meet with a victory in 1:46.45. Other swimmers were Grace Newton, Katelyn Kertin and Ash Saple, who later won the 50 freestyle in 24.79 seconds.
Ella Penny took the diving event with an 11-dive score of 367.10 points. Crawford and Saple then both picked up their second individual victories of the meet, with Crawford winning the butterfly in another meet record time of 55.03 seconds. Saple won the 100 free in 54.41 seconds.
The Royals cruised to a win in the 200 free relay, with Kiley Zoeller, Lauren Bergman, Kertin and Saple clocking in at 1:37.97. Kertin finished first in the breaststroke in a time of 1:06.91, and Southeastern finished the meet with a victory in the 400 free relay. The team of Crawford, Zoeller, Bergman and Anna Stolle finished that event in 3:36.71.
In the boys meet, Homestead won by scoring 695 points, with the Royals the runner-up at 602 points. Jihoon Jung won the individual medley in a time of 1:54.57.
