A one-hitter from Grace Swedarsky helped power Hamilton Southeastern to a 5-0 win over Pendleton Heights on Friday.
Swedarsky threw 13 strikeouts in a complete-game victory. She only gave up two walks and one hit.
The Royals scored their first run in the first inning; Kaitlyn Burdick batted in Tori Bricker with a left field hit. In the fourth inning, Addison Richmond blasted a three-run home run, also scoring Haleigh Seitz and Makena Burlingame.
Southeastern added another run in the sixth inning. Maya Valenta got on base with a center field hit, moved to third base when Natavia Wright hit a double, then scored when Lilly Palmer reached on an error.
Richmond finished the game with two hits.
Southeastern is 11-5 and plays at Noblesville Tuesday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.

Carmel beat Guerin Catholic 18-2 in a five-inning all-county game at Cherry Tree Softball Complex.
The Greyhounds scored in each inning. Jayden Kleiner was 4-for-4 at the plate; she and Avery Klein both hit home runs. Kleiner and Ellie Goddard both hit one double. Goddard also was perfect hitting-wise with a 3-for-3 effort.
Kleiner scored four runs, while Goddard and Mia Fleming both scored three runs. Emmy Smith pitched all five innings, tossing four strikeouts.
Kate Brady was 2-for-3 for the Golden Eagles, hitting an RBI triple to score Jillian Davis in the fifth inning. Lucy Kemp then batted in Brady. Madi Cain hit a double in the third inning.
Carmel is 5-12 and plays Tuesday at Center Grove. Guerin Catholic is 6-6 and hosts Sheridan Monday.

Hamilton Heights dropped an 8-2 game Friday at Cascade.
The Huskies scored both of their runs in the first inning. Taya Trosper hit a two-out single into left field, then Kamryn Rhoton cracked a center field home run. The Cadets took over in the third inning, scoring six runs, then added one more in both the fourth and fifth.
Rhoton had two hits for the Huskies.
The Huskies are 10-6 and host Westfield on Monday.

Fishers dropped a 17-7 HCC home game to Zionsville in eight innings Friday.
The Tigers scored two runs in the first inning. Hailey Kinder doubled in Cate Summerfield, then scored on an error. The Eagles came back with six runs in the second inning, then scored one in the top of the fourth.
Adrianne Cook hit a lead-off home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Fishers then put up three more runs in the fifth inning: Kate Murray singled in Azstryd Alexander, then Brooke Clayton doubled Kendall Jordan and Rylee Bast home.
The Tigers were now within 7-6, and tied the game in the bottom of the seventh: Jordan led off with a double, moved to third base on Murray’s single, then Cook sent Jordan home with another base hit. But Zionsville dominated the top of the eighth, scoring 10 runs. The Eagles hit three homers, the first of which scored three runs.
Six different Tigers players had two hits: Summerfield, Kinder, Jordan, Murray, Cook and Clayton.
Fishers is 1-4 in conference play and 11-6 overall. The Tigers play another HCC game Tuesday at Avon.

Sheridan fell to Clinton Central 17-5 in five innings Friday at Grand Park.
The Bulldogs scored four runs in the top of the first inning and six more in the second. The Blackhawks got four runs in the bottom of the second: Abbi Merritt scored when Lainey Mendenhall reached on an error, Ali Pickard got the second run, then Mendenhall scored when Abby Dallas reached on an error. Dallas scored after Mac Smith reached on an error.
Mendenhall singled in Amiyah Doss for a third-inning run. Doss finished the game with two hits.
Sheridan is 1-8 and plays Monday at Guerin Catholic.
