Shooting at 146th Street, River Road puts one man in hospital

At 11:14 p.m. Thursday night, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of person shot at the intersection of 146th Street and River Road.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found a man who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital in Indianapolis and is in good condition.

This incident is under investigation and there is not a continued immediate threat to the public.

According to evidence, the suspect fired several rounds from his vehicle at another vehicle while sitting stationary at the traffic light.

Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in this case. The suspect’s vehicle is a metallic red four-door sedan, possibly a Hyundai Elantra, occupied by a black male in his early 20s.
