Sheridan slams Crawfordsville, taking on conference rival Tri-Central on Friday

The Sheridan girls basketball team put together yet another solid defensive effort on Tuesday, sailing past Crawfordsville 60-20 in an away game.

The Blackhawks were relentless in the first half, leading 22-6 after one quarter and 44-8 at halftime. Both teams scored 10 points in the third quarter, but Sheridan only allowed Crawfordsville two points in the fourth quarter. This is the sixth time this season the ‘Hawks have allowed a team 20 points or less in a game.

Kenzie Garner scored 21 points, collected six rebounds, dished out six assists and blocked three shots. Shelby Eaton added 11 points. Sadie Timme had six points, five rebounds and two assists, while Cecilia Timme and Nova Cross both scored five. Cecilia Timme and Brielle Garner both handed out four assists.

Rounding out the scoring were Kennedy Zachary and Brielle Garner with four points each, then Mac Smith and Makaley Terry both had two points.

Sheridan is 12-3 and travels to Tri-Central on Friday for a Hoosier Heartland Conference game.
