Sheridan & Noblesville achieve three-match sweeps

The Sheridan volleyball team used a total team effort to sweep International Wednesday.

The Blackhawks won 25-13, 25-12, 25-11. Trinity Parkin hit 15 kills in the match, with Kenzie Garner and Lainey Mendenhall both putting down 10 kills. Adria Jump handed out 25 assists while Nova Cross dished out nine.

Jump served seven aces and Meredith Krupp had six aces. Cross and Ali Pickard both collected seven digs, with Garner getting five. Cross and Garner each had one block assist.

Sheridan is 4-3 and plays Tuesday at Herron.

Hamilton Heights was swept by New Palestine in a Wednesday away match, 25-14, 25-15, 25-19.

Kennedy Cherry played solid defense for the Huskies, including four digs in the second set.

Heights is 9-2 and returns home tonight to play Lawrence North.

Noblesville swept Guerin Catholic Wednesday in an all-county match, 25-18, 25-21, 25-13.

The Millers are 4-0 and play a Hoosier Crossroads Conference match tonight at Avon. The Golden Eagles are 1-4 and play a Circle City Conference match tonight at Bishop Chatard.

Noblesville won a four-set match over Pendleton Heights on Tuesday, 25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 29-27.

Chloe Macias blasted 23 kills for the Millers, with Kennedy Lutz serving four aces. Macias also made two solo blocks. Madison Brown dished out 45 assists. On defense, Maggie Hall and Piper Endris both collected 14 digs, with Lutz getting 13 digs.
