One of the purchases made for the new Historical Society museum in downtown Sheridan is a loom.

Over the last year or so, several Sheridan Historical Society members have taken the time to learn to weave and the result has been several small rugs and table-toppers. Sizes are in the range of 2 feet by 3 feet, and the fabric textures and colors vary.

The museum has several of these available for sale and prices range from $15 to $25 each. If you are interested in buying one or more, please come by the museum any Tuesday or Friday afternoon between 1 and 4 p.m. If you are interested in trying your hand at weaving, Society members can make that happen, too.

The Sheridan Historical Society is located in the Stephenson Cultural Center, 315 S. Main St. in uptown Sheridan, just on the country side of Hamilton County. Museum hours are 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday.
