Sheridan Elementary School (SES) recently held a heartwarming event called “Donuts with Grown-Ups,” giving students and their families a chance to come together and share a special morning. Sheridan Elementary PTO sponsored the event for Kindergarten, second, and fourth graders and their favorite grown-ups.

The event provided an opportunity for parents, guardians, and other family members to visit the school, enjoy a sweet breakfast, and spend quality time with their students.

Families gathered in the school’s cafeteria, and the morning was filled with laughter and smiles. The students proudly showed their grown-ups around. For many, it was a chance to experience firsthand the environment where their children spend their days, fostering a stronger connection between home and school.

The event was a wonderful reminder of the importance of family involvement in a child’s education, and the donuts were a sweet touch to an already special morning.

“Donuts with Grown-Ups has fast become a family favorite, as our fantastic PTO now hosts one each semester!” SES Principal Valerie Roberts said. “This allows all our K-5 families to visit our school and enjoy a special morning at school.”
