On Wednesday, March 25, Sheridan Community Schools (SCS) and Superintendent Dave Mundy welcomed local business leaders for an informational breakfast.
Held at Sheridan High School, the meeting served as an opportunity to continue to strengthen the communication between the school district and local leaders. It also helped to provide clarity on the impact of Senate Bill 1.
Dr. Mundy opened up the meeting by emphasizing the importance of communication and collaboration between schools and local organizations.
“Sheridan Community Schools takes pride in the local partnerships and collaboration they have had with the entire Sheridan community,” Mundy said. “We are beyond grateful for all our business owners do for SCS.”
Attendees of the breakfast were given an overview of SB1 and how SCS is planning and preparing for the potential upcoming changes.
The breakfast served as an opportunity for open discussion, questions, and feedback so that the district and community continue to support each other.
“We want our community partners to feel informed, valued, and connected to the work happening in our schools,” School Board President Tyler Henning said. “Together, we can ensure Sheridan continues to thrive.”
SCS continues to plan hosting additional community gatherings throughout the year to keep stakeholders updated on legislative developments and district initiatives.
