Sheridan’s boys basketball team won a back-and-forth game at North Montgomery on Tuesday, by the score of 52-45.
The Blackhawks started the game brilliantly, leading 15-4 after the first quarter. Sheridan maintained that lead into halftime, where it held a 25-14 advantage.
The Chargers began to come back in the third quarter, cutting the Blackhawks’ lead to 34-31. But Sheridan was able to hold on in the fourth period.
Three different ‘Hawks players reached double-digit scoring. Austin Hunter led with 16 points, with Caleb Duke and Ange Gnamkey both adding 10 points. Hunter made three 3-pointers in the game.
Gnamkey led on the boards with seven rebounds. Hunter made five steals and Duke had four steals; Sheridan had 13 total steals in all.
The Blackhawks are 5-2, and are off until Friday, Dec. 29 when they host Lapel.
