Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County, 1250 Conner St., Noblesville, has been awarded $250,000 through the United Way of Central Indiana’s Basic Needs Grant.

The Basic Needs Fund “invests in community-based organizations that seek to provide the essentials to our neighbors struggling to make ends meet by supporting key goals including housing, food, health, transportation, and systems-level improvements.”

Shepherd’s Center facilitates this through five signature programs including Together Today, Reaching Resources, Community Caring, Counseling, and Guardianship. There is no wait time or fee for SCHC services regardless of income.
