Sharon Ann Marsh, 74, Mechanicsburg, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at her home. She was born November 8, 1943 in Rockport, Ky., to the late Glenn and Rosie (Vernon) Robinson.
Growing up in New Castle, Sharon attended Weir Elementary and New Castle Chrysler High School. She married Rusty Marsh on March 20, 1961 and they had four children. Sharon retired from the United States Postal Service in Anderson. They moved their family to Mechanicsburg and started Marsh Deer Processing which they still own and operate, now known as Maddie Moo’s Custom Meats. She loved cooking wild game and was known for cooking turtle. Sharon loved spending time with her family and was known as “Big Momma.”
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Rusty Marsh, Mechanicsburg; children, Larry (Lynn) Marsh, Sulphur Springs, Brian (Anita) Marsh, Middletown, Mila (Chris) Weber, Mechanicsburg, Kevin (Corie) Marsh, Markleville; grandchildren, Marissa Weber, Terra Weber, Makayla Swinford, Sky Marsh, Maddie Marsh; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Weston; sister, Christine McShirley, Bluffton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Mary Lou Robinson, and siblings, Gene Fred, Henrietta Ward and Charlie Robinson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Dr. Charles R. Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 15th at the funeral home.
