Shamrocks dominate Frankfort

Westfield scored an overwhelming victory in its regular-season finale Tuesday, beating Frankfort 76-30 at The Rock.
The Shamrocks led the Hot Dogs 22-10 after the first quarter and 38-19 at halftime, with Braden Smith scoring 13 points in the first half. Saaki Vishnumolakala had eight points.
Westfield then roared through the third period, outscoring Frankfort 27-3 to take a 65-22 lead. Eli Patchett made three 3-pointers during that quarter, with Smith adding another seven points and Matthew Penley converting two three-point plays.
Patchett made another 3 in the fourth quarter, giving him 12 points. Smith earned a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, making three 3s, handing out seven assists and getting five steals. Nic DePasquale added 10 points, while Vishnumolakala collected nine rebounds and added eight points. Patchett pulled five rebounds and Cam Haffner blocked two shots.
The Shamrocks finished the regular season 16-6. They will play in the first semi-final game of the Noblesville sectional next Friday, March 6, taking on either Fishers or Zionsville.
