State Sen. Scott Baldwin (R-Noblesville) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.

  • Penelope Cisneros, Indianapolis, attends Creekside Middle School.
  • Addy Gray, Carmel, attends Clay Middle School (pictured with State Sen. R. Michael Young).
  • Sydney Hilleke, Noblesville, attends Noblesville High School.
  • Anika Veerapaneni, Carmel, attends Clay Middle School.
  • Mia Smith, Carmel, attends Clay Middle School (pictured with State Sen. R. Michael Young).

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor, and interacting with their state senator.

“I always look forward to meeting young Hoosiers at the Statehouse,” Baldwin said. “The Senate Page Program is a great opportunity for our youth to learn about state legislation and the role legislators play in it.”

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
