On Wednesday, July 29, it was announced that two legendary hard rock bands, Warrant with special guests Vixen will both perform on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at the Indiana State Fair on the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage. Bret Michaels will not perform as originally planned as his show has been postponed.
At its core, Warrant, is an American rock band through and through. Hitting it big in 1989, the Hollywood, Calif.-based band rose through the ranks of the local Sunset Strip scene to the level of multiplatinum selling, chart-topping success with songs like “Down Boys,” “Sometimes She Cries,” “Cherry Pie,” “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” “I Saw Red,” and the massive hit “Heaven” which reached No. 1 in Rolling Stone and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row.
There’s only one female rock band from the ‘80s who sold over two million albums worldwide, had six No. 1 videos on MTV, and four songs chart in Billboard’s Top 100, and that band is Vixen.
The 2026 Indiana State Fair takes place Aug. 7 to 23 (Fair is closed on Mondays). The Hoosier Lottery Free Stage has become a summertime staple for concert goers and music lovers. The lineup each year consists of some of music’s most legendary and diverse acts and this year is no exception. All shows at the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage are free with paid fair admission and seating is first-come, first-served. All shows start at 7:30 p.m., unless noted otherwise.
