The Hamilton Heights girls basketball team picked up its second win Saturday, edging out West Lafayette 41-39.
Heights finished the first quarter with an 18-11 lead after, then held a 30-21 advantage at halftime. The Red Devils cut that lead to 36-30 after three quarters, but the Huskies were able to hold on in the fourth.
Presley Cherry again led the Heights scoring with 14 points. Katie Brown totaled 11 points, also making three 3s, and dished out six assists and made five steals. Sarah Sherrill led the rebounds with seven, followed by Brown and Reece Blanton with five each.
The Huskies are 2-9 and play two games this week, hosting Kokomo Tuesday and traveling to Blackford on Saturday.

Guerin Catholic scored a victory at Peru Saturday, 46-27.
The Golden Eagles outscored the Tigers in all four quarters, leading 14-9 after one period and 18-11 at halftime. Guerin Catholic blasted through the third quarter, outscoring Peru for a 33-15 lead.
Ava Bills scored 22 points to lead GC, including 15 in the second half. Annie Murphy added seven points and Lillian Behrle scored six.
Guerin Catholic is 5-5 and plays two games this week. The Golden Eagles travel to New Palestine on Wednesday, then host Purdue Polytechnic Engelwood on Friday.

Noblesville traveled to Plainfield last Saturday and returned home with a 56-46 win.
The game was tied 26-26 at halftime before the Millers took a 42-40 lead after three quarters. Noblesville then pulled away in the fourth, outscoring the Quakers 58-48.
C.C. Quigley led the Millers scoring with 17 points. Meredith Tippner and Kate Rollins each scored 12 points; Tippner earned another double-double with 15 rebounds. Rollins collected six rebounds. Tippner also handed out seven assists and getting six steals, with Ally Hutchinson dished out six assists and made five steals.
Noblesville is 1-2 in HCC play and 7-3 overall. The Millers host Westfield Saturday afternoon in another conference game.
