Hamilton Southeastern dropped a 3-2 Hoosier Crossroads Conference game at Brownsburg Thursday, giving the Bulldogs a sweep of the series.
Brownsburg scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning and held the lead from there. The Royals got a run back in the top of the third. Clayton Wilke scored when Hunter Dilts reached on error. Dilts would score Southeastern’s second run in the fifth inning, getting home on Griffen Haas’ RBI groundout.
Dilts hit a single to get on base, one of two hits for the Royals in the game. Ty Bradle also hit a sixth-inning single. Ethan Lund pitched four innings in relief, striking out five.
Southeastern is 0-2 in conference play and 2-3 overall. The Royals are next scheduled to play Saturday at Pendleton Heights.
