Royals sweep Brownsburg in dual meet

The Hamilton Southeastern swim teams swept a dual meet at Brownsburg on Saturday.
The Royals girls won 140-46, taking 11 of the 12 events. One of the highlights for Southeastern was its 200 freestyle relay team of Bri Saple, Kennedy Fisher, Kayleigh Witt and Molly Pedersen setting a new Brownsburg pool record in that event. The Royals’ time was 1:38.26.
In individual events, Pedersen won the 200 and 100 freestyles, Abby Harter took the individual medley and backstroke, Bri Saple was first in the 50 free, DaBin Jung paced the butterfly, Fisher was first in the breaststroke and Witt won the 500 free. Harter, Fisher, Jung and Grace Newton swam on the winning medley relay, with Witt, Harter, Saple and Pedersen teaming up for a 400 free relay victory.
In the boys meet, Southeastern won 125-61, taking 10 of the 12 events. DJ Rogers and Marcus Eden were double winners, with Rogers placing first in the 50 and 100 freestyles and Eden winning the IM and backstroke.
Keegan Streett was first in the 200 free, Evan Sellers won the 500 free and Zack Bostock took the breaststroke. Relay winners were Eden, Justin Voelker, Andrew Christopher and Bostick in the medley relay, Streett, Christopher, Bostock and Rogers in the 200 free relay and Sellers, Rogers, Eden and Streett in the 400 free relay.
