Hamilton Southeastern split its Senior Night meet with Zionsville on Thursday.
The Royals girls beat the Eagles 114-72. Highlights included an opening win in the medley relay by Abby Harter, Madison Kertin, Hannah Pugh, Emily Barnes, and the swims of Kayleigh Witt in the 200 freestyle, Olivia Vicory and Brooke Ratliff in the 500 free, and Madison Kertin in the 100 breaststroke.
The Southeastern boys fell 110-76 but had some outstanding performances. The highlight of the meet was the 500 freestyle. Freshman Keegan Streett gave the Royals their only swimming event victory of the evening, followed closely by teammate Evan Sellers who took second. In the same heat, Collin Matasovsky broke the six-minute barrier for the first time.
The Royals will now prepare to start their championship season with the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Reserve Championship next weekend and the IHSAA girls sectional meet that starts the following week.
