Royals sail past Arabians

Hamilton Southeastern overwhelmed Pendleton Heights on the road Tuesday, winning 76-45.
The Royals had their offense going, scoring over 20 points in each of the first three quarters. Riley Makalusky had 13 points in the first quarter alone, while Mikayla Hinshaw added eight points during that period. Southeastern led 21-14 after the first quarter and 43-27 at halftime; Maya Makalusky had 10 points in the second quarter.
Riley Makalusky poured in another 11 points in the third, as the Royals jumped ahead 68-37. She would lead all scorers with 26 points, going 11-of-15 from the field. Playing what HSE coach Brian Satterfield said was “her best overall game of the year,” Makalusky also collected seven rebounds, and had one assist and a blocked shot.
“The team moved the ball well tonight and kept making the extra pass which created quality shots,” said Satterfield.
Maya Makalusky added 12 points, Lauren Stewart had 11 points, including three 3-pointers, while Hinshaw scored 10 points. Olivia Brown did it all, with seven points, seven assists, five rebounds and two blocks. Stewart and Zoe Bolding also had two blocks each.
The Royals are 6-4 and host Avon Friday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.
