Royals power past Pendleton Heights

Hamilton Southeastern stopped a four-game losing streak on Saturday by sailing past Pendleton Heights 72-44 at the Royals’ gym.
Southeastern led 14-13 after the first quarter, then took control in the second period by holding the Arabians to only four points. That enabled the Royals to take a 25-17 halftime lead. Southeastern’s offense dominated the second half, outscoring Pendleton Heights 47-24.
Sam Jacobs led the Royals scoring with 16 points, followed by Reph Stevenson with 12 and Donovan Hamilton with 11. Hamilton also had eight rebounds and five assists, with Michael Griffith pulling five rebounds. Southeastern had 25 team assists; Deion Miles dished out six and Smock handed out four.
The Royals are 6-10 and play a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game Thursday at Franklin Central.
