Riley Makalusky reaches 1,000 points

The Hamilton Southeastern girls basketball cruised to victory in its regular-season finale Tuesday, winning at Pike 81-36.
The Royals outscored the Red Devils in each quarter, leading 20-13 after one period and 46-25 at halftime. Southeastern then held Pike to only 11 points in the second half.
Riley Makalusky scored 32 points for the Royals, and passed the 1,000-point mark towards the end of the game. Her career total is now 1,001 points. Maya Makaluksy added 26 points. Teegan Acres led the rebounds with eight, followed by Riley Makaluksy and Olivia Brown with seven each, then Maya Makalusky had six rebounds. Brown dished out six assists, Acres made four steals, and Kayla Stidham had four assists and four steals.
The Royals are 20-2 for the season. They are off until Feb. 3, when they play either Westfield or Zionsville in the semi-finals of the Noblesville sectional.
