Royals edge out Lawrence Central

Hamilton Southeastern won a tight game at Lawrence Central on Friday, by the score of 59-54.
The Bears led 12-9 after the first quarter, but the Royals came back in the second period to hold a 27-25 advantage at halftime. Southeastern then jumped ahead 31-25 to start the third quarter, ultimately leading 38-35 by the end of the period. The Royals poured in 21 points in the fourth period to clinch the game.
Sam Jacobs scored 17 points for Southeastern, while Caleb Smock made three 3-pointers on his way to 13 points. Donovan Hamilton added 10 points and collected eight rebounds, while Reph Stevenson pulled 12 rebounds to go along with eight points. Jacobs had five rebounds.
The Royals are 4-5 and host Warren Central tonight.
